Responsibilities

  • Our dedicated nursing team provide speciality care which will include procedure and investigation work-up utilising skills such as cannulation and venepuncture and post-operative skills such as arterial sheath removal.
  • A close working relationship with both Coronary care and the cardiac catheter laboratory provides our nurses with a unique learning opportunity.
  • The unit interacts with our experienced cardiac specialist nursing teams to provide enhanced support to our patients in areas such as heart failure, Chest pain and the cardiac rehabilitation and surgical liaison team.
