Responsibilities

  • - Take charge of the in patient unit which has 9 beds and ensuring a high standard of safe care is given at all times and working alongside the District nursing team in the community.
  • - When working in the in-patient ward, take charge of the unit particularly in the absence of the manager and Band 6 clinical lead.
  • - Keep the patients and staff safe at all times and deliver a very high standard of care to all our patients.
  • - Liaise with all members of the MDT team and communicate to other staff members accurate information where needed.
  • - Support junior staff members and be a role model for those working alongside the nurse.
  • - When working in the District nursing team, develop the required skills if not already possessed to work effectively within the team.
