Responsibilities

  • This role will be carried out across all trust sites and provide an effective stores and purchasing service to estates operational teams across Basingstoke, Winchester and Andover (BNHH, RHCH & AWMH).
  • The post holder will oversee the Engineering stores function, as well as lead on stock and non-stock purchases for a team of estates maintenance staff. This role will be expected to understand engineers technical sourcing requirements with regards to specification and availability of engineering materials.
  • This role will provide focus for all procurement activities using Oracle SBS system, operating within Trust Standing Financial Instructions. This position will be expected to deal with matters such as stores/supply chain, supplier engagement, invoice resolution, delivery discrepancies as well as providing advice to Trade staff and Supervisors relating to material availability.
  • To lead on the procurement of specialist engineering parts and materials - liaising with Trust suppliers - negotiating on price, specification, and availability. The post holder will be expected to understand engineers technical sourcing requirements and have knowledge of electrical, mechanical and building services products.
