Responsibilities

  • They are looking for a number of Teaching Assistants to work across a range of curriculum areas, and across any of their college sites.
  • In this rewarding role, you will support the planning and delivery of high-quality teaching, learning and assessment for young people, including those with EHC plans, both in and out of the classroom.
  • As a Teaching Assistant you will share a strong belief in young peoples ability to achieve their work and personal goals. You will set challenging and demanding expectations and promote self-esteem and independence. You will assist learners to engage in teaching activities and shared active learning using digital platforms/Google classroom and assistive technology.
  • You will create and maintain a purposeful and supportive teaching environment, in accordance with lesson/curriculum teaching plans. You will use strategies, in liaison with the teacher/tutor, to support young people to achieve learning goals. You will provide teaching that builds from easier to more difficult tasks and breaks down harder skills into smaller parts, to support learners to develop their independence, life and powerful work skills. You will assist with the planning and preparation of learning activities.
