Responsibilities

  • Liaise with the endoscopy department and pre assessment team to ensure that endoscopy lists appropriately booked.
  • Actively monitor waiting times targets and escalate risks relating to patient pathways and waiting times to the lead specialist nurse, service manager and clinical manager.
  • Ensure management of patient activity and special requests within endoscopy service are followed up in a timely fashion.
  • Oversee preparation for the next day admission patient/subject notes retrieval, prepared documents for nursing staff and tracking of patient’s progress within the pre assessment pathway.
  • Support the provision of general and basic advice to patient/subject queries and refers clinical-related queries to Nurses/relevant staff.
  • Arrange regular meetings to discuss the service and address capacity and pathway improvements.
  • Assist in audit and data collection relating to the JAG/GRS.
