Responsibilities

  • Overall responsibility to ensure that initiated projects meet company requirements in terms of selection, pricing, terms and conditions and lead time. Ensure application of Sulzer tools and policies, procedures, codes of conduct and best practice guidelines.
  • Review inquiry documents/specifications and prepares quality quotations on time for Sulzer Pumps' products using current tendering tools & procedures independently or with guidance.
  • Analysing customer requirements, particularly of complex applications and products for relevant market / application.
  • Independent development of suitable technical solutions with the involvement of specialist departments.
  • Consulting customers and the sales team on possible pump applications and in preparation of specifications, Configuration of pumps and accessories.
  • Enquiry and evaluation of subcontractor offers as well as corresponding expediting.
  • Co-operation with the plants in the Energy & Infrastructure Business Unit factory network.
  • Analysis and evaluation of commercial as well as technical risks of projects at the bidding stage, corresponding negotiations together with specialist departments as well as development of approaches to minimize risks in the event of an order.
  • Preparation and realization of presentations of technical offers.
  • Indirect management & co-ordination with multidisciplinary functions as part of the bid preparation.
  • Preparation of high-quality technical/commercial offers in line with market requirements.
  • Review quote received and challenge as necessary internal as well as external stakeholders to ensure a competitive proposal is submitted meeting Sales / market expectation.
  • Familiar with the risks and hazards within the activities and processes of the role and procedures, practices, and measures in place to mitigate the risks.
  • Participation in sales negotiations, corresponding preparation, and follow-up in co-operation with sales department.
  • Leading technical negotiations with subcontractors.
  • Ensuring a complete and successful order handover to project team.
  • Regular maintenance of our sales systems and the data contained therein.
