What is the application deadline for the Trainee Patent Attorney position?

What qualifications are required for this role?
You will need to have gained at least a 2:1 degree in chemistry or a closely related subject. Applications are also welcomed from those completing a doctorate, undertaking postgraduate research, or working in industry in a chemistry-related field.
What type of support will I receive during my training?
You will receive full support to achieve qualification as a chartered UK and European patent attorney, including participation in our comprehensive in-house ‘Training Academy’ that offers tutorials, lectures, mentoring, and supervision.
Will I have to work on legal documents in this role?
Yes, working as a patent attorney requires the ability to draft comprehensive documents and defend complex legal arguments.
What skills are essential for this position?
Essential skills include excellent communication, meticulous attention to detail, technical excellence, and a general interest in the commercial world and intellectual property.
When will the first round of interviews take place?
The first round of interviews will take place via video call during the week of 3 and 10 February 2025.
Are foreign language skills necessary for the role?
Foreign languages are an advantage but not essential for the position.
