Responsibilities

  • Define and/or review project and customer requirements for D&S and/or civil training devices and systems.
  • With the assistance of various technical experts and management teams, ensure that all requirements are clear, complete, verifiable, and achievable.
  • With the assistance of training solutions experts, validate that the technical requirements for a training device or system deliver value-added training and meet the customers’ training objectives.
  • Coordinate and conduct System Requirements Review activities – both internal and with the customer (iSRR and SRR), including allocation of requirements to the various engineering specialties, allocation of other attributes such as verification method, and documentation of issues resolution or reference to official action items.
  • With the Proposal and Project Experts, ensure that requirements-driven risks are well understood and integrated into project planning, monitoring, and controlling activities.
  • Contribute to the continuous process improvement of the CAE requirements management and development process, in accordance with the guidelines of the Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI).
  • Supervise the Requirement Technician (RT) tasks related to data input and management of project requirements documentation in DOORS Database.
  • Support business development and proposal teams during the bid phase to define and understand training requirements.
  • Participate in the definition of training solutions with the Systems Architecture Specialists.
  • Support requirements database users during requirements and validation activities (tools, processes, etc.).
  • Support ongoing assessment and update activities of requirements management tools.
