Requirements

  • Good overall experience in an F1 design environment. High level motorsport experience (LMP1, LMH, LMDH etc..) can be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Create high quality CAD schemes to develop future car design using Siemens NX 12 CAD system, managed by Team center11.
  • Provide, as required, reports or results of development ideas, to aid in performance assessment and communication to the wider technical staff.
  • Work closely with the entire Concept Group, as well as with all technical groups involved in the design process always maintaining good communication and co-operation.
  • When agreed with Head of Concept Design, to help and support Detail Design (DO) groups as and when required.
  • To investigate new ideas and layouts for future car development.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external groups such as DO, Aero, VPG, suppliers, etc.
  • Execute the day-to-day tasks, providing clear and proactive feedback.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior members of the composite design team.
  • To maintain and develop good relationships with all Design Office groups, Aero department and VPG.
  • Provide flexible attendance and attitude to work, both in line with the requirements of the role and any specific requirements of the projects.
  • To work in a professional manner at all times regardless of the task set and be pro-active in promoting a positive image for the department / team/ sponsors.
