Responsibilities

  • Focus on product-cost reduction and operational excellence in terms of overall cost, quality, delivery performance and lowest capital tight up for our division by using benchmarking and best practice tools
  • Continuously research existing and potential markets with your teams and evaluate all existing and potential suppliers based on their financial stability, technical capabilities, quality, logistic performance and their cost structure
  • Establish increased flexibility with suppliers in order to meet our increasing material demand in relation to the continued growth: reduced delivery times, zero defects and Quality Assurance Systems as well as improved material flows are essential to our success to meet the needs of our customers
  • Work closely together with the manufacturing departments to optimize and control the material supply chain in a quality assured way
  • Actively support the engineering departments to find technical competent, cost-effective suppliers to leverage the innovation capabilities of our business partners to continuously upgrade our product range
  • Search for new technologies in the supplier’s market in order to support development projects and cooperate with different R&D teams to co-develop core components
  • Implement cost reduction projects
  • Assess our acquisitions and develop them to the same standards applied in mature companies
  • Further develop and promote applications and sourcing processes to improve & to increase transparency of suppliers' performance and the cost structures of our supply chains
  • Take corrective action in order to consolidate the supply base to the best performing suppliers
  • Embrace the "Safety First" culture and implement 5S leading practices in order to improve further the performance of the product company, striving for zero work related accidents
  • Develop and lead a successful team of cohesive, competent, committed and result oriented people
  • Interact trustful and result-oriented with your divisional peers, the General Managers of the PCs and the local teams as well as with other Divisions, mainly in General Vacuum
  • Cooperate pro-actively in the Procurement Council of the VTBA as a member or leader
  • Develop talents and create an atmosphere of trust, purpose and wellbeing where people want to grow
