Requirements

  • 4+ years of professional experience in UI design, preferably at a company focused on designing and delivering SaaS solutions
  • You have a passion for, and knowledge of, type, colour, and iconography with a keen eye for visual balance and harmony
  • You know how to work with Design Systems - how to use, modify, extend and contribute to the existing ecosystem
  • You can partner closely with software development to ensure pixel-perfect implementation of designs
  • You collaborate with UX designers to achieve the highest quality user experience given product requirements and constraints
  • You pay almost fanatically close attention to every detail
  • You have strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal
  • You have an exceptional portfolio of work that demonstrates the ability to design and maintain high quality, consistent user interface designs
  • A proven track record of strategic thinking reflected in your ability to speak about design with clarity and conviction
  • Mastery of design tools, including their use in library management and prototype construction. Preference given to applicants with deep knowledge of Figma.
  • Functional knowledge of code and experience working directly with developers is a benefit.
  • Understanding of the impact of designing for native environments such as Android, iOS and Windows is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • As a UI Designer, you will focus on visual designs in collaboration with UX Designers, and our Design System teams.
  • You are an advocate of user-centered-design principles, with a natural curiosity to understand people, and how they interact with products.
  • You’re a system-thinker and are passionate about furthering our Design System while leveraging it to ensure consistency across the product suite.
  • You are a team player who enjoys working and brainstorming with other designers, software developers, and managers.
  • In this role, you will focus on collaborating with the UX design team to turn their wireframes into final UI assets and work closely with developers to ensure pixel perfect implementation.
  • As part of a multidisciplinary team, our Designers must be able to multitask, work under pressure, and have a strong focus on even the smallest details.
  • We are diligent, so our customers find the same reliability in our UI that has been the hallmark of our hardware for years.
