Responsibilities

  • Responsible for building and maintaining a Workforce Development strategies through strong engagement/support of the provider network
  • Maintain effective working relationships to ensure teamwork in achieving corporate goals.
  • Perform as a “change agent,” constantly challenging conventional thinking, approach, and current ways of doing business.
  • Participate in strategic planning activities and contribute to departmental and cross-functional teams to achieve BCBSAZ goals and ensure future success.
  • Leads and implements initiatives on the Arizona Association of Health Plan Workforce Development Alliance (AWFDA): Statewide collaborative for 7 Managed Care Health Plans.
  • Serves as the Relias Learning Management System Sites Administrator in the Arizona Association of Health Plan (AzAHP) Enterprise, as well as the Medicaid clinical staff Portal.
  • Consults with organizational leaders and workgroups to develop learning strategies to improve network performance.
  • Partners, develops, interprets, and coordinates WFD initiatives and policies through the Alliance and Coalition based initiatives with the Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System (AHCCCS).
  • Partners, develops, and provides Medicaid and AHCCCS required trainings to the Provider network (including Train the Trainer modalities).
  • Forecasts, analyzes, and contributes to the Medicaid’s WFD Plan deliverable for AHCCCS, and contributing to AHCCCS deliverables as requested across the clinical department.
  • Partners with the Contracting and Network team to ensure all newly contractor providers are properly onboarded regarding WFD requirements and Relias
  • Partners with Clinical Operations to support provider WFD needs
  • Support short and long term department goals in accordance with overall company objectives and divisional strategic planning. Execute strategies and operational plans to ensure that both short- and long-term objectives and goals are consistently met.
  • Complete departmental regulatory deliverables
  • The position requires a full-time work schedule. Full-time is defined as working at least 40 hours per week, plus any additional hours as requested or as needed to meet business requirements
