Interested in traveling to Asia and keeping up with the most recent global health topics? Keen to get involved in academic research and conferences? Want to establish a network of friends from various UK universities and around the world? Come to AMSA! AMSA was first established in Asia in 1985, and has since expanded to 27 Chapters (Nations). It was founded in hopes of facilitating international and transcontinental exchange of medical research, initiative, and camaraderie. We represent the UK chapter, and are jointly run by GKT & Imperial students - but we welcome students from all over the country! We have lots of things for you to get involved in, including:AMSA's annual international medical conference (AMSC-Korea 2022): This is a great opportunity for you to be involved in writing a scientific or white paper, or creating a poster, and if shortlisted, you will be presenting in front of 300 medics from all over the world.Academic events: Our trusty Academic Team will be creating several events throughout the year for different year groups (ie: small group tutorials), and of course our popular annual mOSCEs for all stages of MBBS. Look out for updates on these on our Facebook page!AMSA families: these include first years in medical school up until Core Training and is a brilliant way to get to know inter-year medics and receive mentorship, but also be a mentor yourself for the younger years in your family. There are many socials for you to join, either with your family, or as part of AMSA. Asian Medical Students Exchange Program (AMSEP): Previous trips have included Japan, Singapore, and Taiwan. An unforgettable trip where you explore the academic medic life in a different country and enjoy all the cultural activities there, guided by the host country's lovely AMSA volunteers.
