~~ χαιρετε! ~~
We are a fun and welcoming society, running cultural and social events throughout the year for students of any discipline interested in the Ancient World.
Supported by the King's Classics Department, we aim to bring together people through their shared love of the Classics, or just a good symposium.
Our social events are very popular, with over 150 attendees at our most recent Winter Ball, and our Spring Ball entirely selling out! Other examples of our events include: museum and theatre trips including a British Museum Treasure Hunt, club nights, quizzes, competitive events with UCL, pub crawls clad in Togas...
We also host events focussed around academic life and well-being at King's, such as exam and essay writing sessions.
A membership gives you discounted tickets (up to 50%) for the most highly anticipated events of the year - including the Toga Pub Crawl, and our Winter and Spring Balls! We hope to be able to invite society members on our annual trip abroad, however, this may not possible to due the COVID-19 pandemic.
Nevertheless, we plan to organise UK based trips should it still be unsafe to travel at the start of 2021, when we would ordinarily begin organising our trip. We also support the student-run Undergraduate Research Journal, 'Kerberos'; follow their social media for updates on their submission and publication times. Follow us on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook (all @kclclassics) for updates about events throughout the year.
We look forward to seeing you in September!
