Chat with usAbout usHey, we are UWL Dance Society! We are a group of bubbly, dance loving students who just want to enjoy every moment of University. We teach various styles of dance every week and also hold a Fit'n'Flex class on Mondays! With professional guest teachers, plenty of socials and an end of year show, we have so much to get involved with! It doesn’t matter what course you are on or what kind of dance ability you have, we want to include everyone, and our main priority is keeping active, making friends and having fun! Our intention is on the 1st October at 3:30pm and 2nd October at 1:30pm is to hold Zoom calls with the committee members so you can get to know us and ask any questions that you may have.If you are unable to attend these meetings do not hesitate to message our Instagram page or email us. It’s been designed to incorporate some of the administration and face-to-face elements that go into running a society. This person will act as the face of the society and will lead by example!GROUP ADMINISTRATOR - click hereThis role is a new role created to reduce the demand on the President and add value to the treasurer role, therefore, it includes elements of the Treasurer roles. We will be working with you to ensure that your activity is Covid safe and that you are your members are aware of the latest GOV measures.After what’s happened this year with the pandemic and not being able to teach our members in person, we want to have a covid officer to be able to put measures in place to ensure members can be taught in person without the risk a spike or members becoming ill.VICE CHAIRPERSON This person will be working closely with the Chairperson to run the society and when the chairperson is unavailable will be responsible for taking control of society runnings.How do I nominate myself? Nominating yourself couldn’t be easier! All you need to do is write a short bio (up to 300 words) about who you are, what position you are running for, and why and fill out this google form: HERE
