Hockey (RSM)

RSM Hockey is open to any players from any department who fancies playing hockey without running laps and doing chin-ups. We welcome all abilities, from not knowing which end of the stick to hold (like last years President), to anyone who used to be semi-pro but just wants to have fun again.We’ve got men's and women's teams in the ULU League and a mixed team that plays in a local Sunday league, as well as occasional friendlies mid week. We not only have fun on the pitch, but we also regularly hold events in the Union Bar as well as other exotic locations. Such as a long weekend hockey tour up to Blackpool, every year, where we enter a mixed hockey squad with fancy dress and forfeits...attendance is strongly suggested!The main event in our calendar is the Bottle Match, the 2nd oldest varsity in the world, (banter worthy of the national press, port, chanting and hangovers) which is amazing fun and practically guaranteed to result in almost complete memory loss (for those who enjoy such things).Training takes place Tuesday evenings at Harlington Sports Ground, meet in the RSM Foyer 5pm, and matches are usually on at the weekends or sometimes Wednesday afternoon/evenings.
