King's College London (KCL)
navigation.about
We are a society that seeks to create an environment for students to interact with modern feminism as well as be active anti-sexists on campus.
KCL’s Feminist Society is intersectional.
This means we stand against the oppression of all people regardless of race, biological sex, gender, disability, sexuality, age and class etc.
Intersectionality is the reality that different systems of oppression intermingle. The result of this, for example, is that oppression some women face as women cannot be separated from their race (or sexuality, or class etc).
Our 3 main aims for this year (2020/2021) are:
- Anti-racism
- Demilitarisation
- Decolonisation
We run lots of events throughout the year including workshops and discussions. Considering the current events, some of these events may be held online as opposed to in-person. Join the society (and sign up to our newsletter) to find out what we’re up to and how you can get involved!
