FAQ Document >> https://tinyurl.com/ubtkingsFAQ We're your Uni Boob Team representing the breast cancer awareness charity CoppaFeel! on campus and it's our mission to get all guy's, gals and non-binary pals at King's checking their chests regularly!
Breast cancer is one of the most common cancers in the UK, and the most common cancer in cisgender women and trans men who haven't undergone top surgery, so it's important that everyone's aware of the need to be checking their chest regularly and knows the signs and symptoms to look out for.
Throughout the year we organise loads of fun awareness and fundraising events and collaborate with other societies to chat all things boobs and breast cancer. Some of our most exciting initiatives from previous years have been our topless callendar (thanks to all the sports teams who got involved) the 'Breast of both Worlds' showcase and quiz with KCL Pole, Boobfire night in partnership with Slug & Lettuce, and supporting King's African Caribbean Medical Society (ACMS) with their national conference, "We Need to Talk About Black Women and Breast Cancer". This year, we've got even more exciting plans (cancer doesn't stop for Covid and neither do we) so if you fancy:
Making new friends
Gaining valuable experience in fundraising, event management and health education

We're currently recruiting for new committee members! If you want to be even more involved with our society, you can apply for one of the committee positions we have available here. This is a great opportunity, particularly if you're a fresher, to get more involved with the running of a society and to make a big contribution to life at King's.
Your work on committee will also count towards a KCLSU Volunteering Award which is a great addition to your CV.
