Leeds Economics Society

Our mission is to preserve a sense of community around students either studying or interested in Economics in these unprecedented times. We will be hosting a variety of academic, social and career-based events throughout the year. These will take place either online or in-person depending on government and LUU guidelines. We also host a popular 11-a-side and a 5-a-side football team within the society. Expect Q&As, debates and interviews with academics, professionals and even politicians. Last year Hilary Benn, local MP and former chairman of the Exiting the European Union Select Committee, joined us for an hour-long Q&A ahead of the General Election. We've established collaborations with three key partners for the upcoming year: Huzzle, a social platform facilitating collaboration and job searching; Pluto, an app offering investment insights with an inbuilt practice zone; and Bright Network, one of the UK's leading platforms for job search and related events. We are actively working and collaborating with various organisations to bring the best opportunities to you:)
