The London International Development Centre (LIDC) is an inter-disciplinary consortium of seven University of London institutions and a number of NGOs working together to shape the future of international development. Our membership of almost 6,000 researchers, academics, students and activists represents a dynamic and vibrant community of global development expertise.
We bring together academics and students from across the following University of London colleges: London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, Royal Veterinary College, SOAS University of London, UCL Institute of Education, Birkbeck Geography Department, Queen Mary University of London, Development Planning Unit, UCL, Brunel University London Department of Political and Social Sciences, City, University of London.
INTERNSHIP:
LIDC runs an internship programme to give postgraduate students and recent graduates a short introduction to working in international development. Placements run for 6 weeks. Tasks include:
-Creating and maintaining an editorial calendar
-Drafting social media content for use across LIDC’s Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn
-Building and updating media lists
-Preparing weekly digital media reports
-Assisting in administrative duties
-Assisting with event logistics
