Imperial College London (ICL)
navigation.about
Imperial College Men’s rugby Club is one of the most exciting clubs at Imperial, with three teams catering for all abilities and a great social side as well.
FRESHERS
If you’re an incoming IC student (undergraduate or post) or just want to get in the mix next year, get in touch and we’ll let you know all the info you need.
TRAINING
We train twice a week (Monday night/Saturday morning) with matches on Wednesday afternoons. The forwards also have lineout sessions on campus on Tuesday mornings before lectures. We also run strength & conditioning sessions.
FACILITIES
Most Mondays we train at a local Men's Rugby club or our home ground in Harlington. On Saturdays & free Wednesdays, we will often train in Hurlingham Park or Hyde Park.
TEAMS
We have three teams, suitable for a wide range of abilities. The 1s were top of the league prior to the pandemic and 2s & 3s were pushing for promotion. Even, if you have no rugby experience but would like to come down and get involved, we guarantee we can find a place for you.
VARSITY
We have two major annual Varsities: one against Imperial Medics, the other against LSE in The City Varsity.
These showcase matches are very exciting to be a part of and will certainly be a highlight of your rugby career. The City Varsity is a student-led initiative within the club and has been a great success in recent years. For more details, check out our website: www.thecityvarsity.co.uk.
