navigation.about
The UCC Mathematical Society was one of the first societies founded in
UCC. As one of the oldest societies, it has a long-standing history of providing both academically and socially for the students studying mathematics across a range of courses.
Our committee is made up of 12 undergraduate students, all of whom are studying Mathematical Sciences in UCC.
We aim to give anyone with any interest in maths the opportunity to embrace this passion, whether it be by socialising with other like-minded people or by giving your own lecture on a topic of choice.
When it comes to organising events for the students of UCC, it is of utmost importance to us that we organise a diverse range of academic and social events. The society’s mission statement for the year is to create a community for those who share an interest in mathematics and to increase our profile on and off campus.
Our most talked-about events include SIG Cup, Superbrain, 4 Years of Maths, The Boole Prize and of course the Maths and Physics Ball.
UCC Mathematical Society is kindly sponsored by Susquehanna International Group.
