King's College London (KCL)
navigation.about
University and ukulele, because there is simply no better combination.
King's College London's Ukulele Society is the perfect place to learn the ukulele, or to continue playing if you are already familiar. We meet every week to play for a couple of hours - it's more Cee Lo Green ("F*** You" works so well on the ukulele!) than George Formby, we promise, and we play from an eclectic mix spanning every decade of music.
The ukulele offers everything - it's inexpensive, easy to learn, highly portable and guarantees a smile on everyone's face!
What sorts of things do we do?
We meet up to jam every week!
We busk all around London.
We play to raise money for charities.
We have an annual TOUR! Previous tours have us playing with societies from across England, across Europe (Dublin, Belfast, Paris, Barcelona), and our most recent tour took us and our ukes all the way over to Milan!
Treat this as a short reprieve from the heady trials of your student life.
