University of Manchester Law Debating Society

The University of Manchester Law School Debating Society, established in 2014, stands as one of the oldest and most esteemed student societies within our institution. Our mission is to create a nurturing and professional platform for students, particularly beginner debaters, to cultivate their skills. Themes explored in our debates last year spanned Mental Health Law, Competition Law, Human Rights, and other significant legal and societal topics. With prizes including an insight experience at Eversheds Sutherland, tailored insight experience at Greater Manchester Law Centre, and £100. Some of our Society's partners this year include Eversheds Sutherland, Dentons, and the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA).
