Women in Healthcare Leadership

The ever-changing healthcare industry is fuelled by innovation and creativity. For this, we need diversity. A 2019 report by Oliver Wyman found that only 33% executive healthcare leadership roles are held by women. Newly found, WiHL recognises the need for an all-inclusive generation of healthcare leaders, placing particular emphasis on empowering women to pursue senior roles. Throughout the year, we will host informative talks by eminent figures to provide realistic insights into the various routes towards healthcare leadership and how to build a portfolio of meaningful experiences during medical school to succeed in the field. Networking opportunities will allow you to connect with each other and those in executive roles, building a personalized community to share and learn from your experiences. Our workshops will focus on ways to stand out in the competitive field and the development of soft traits, such as core presentation and public speaking skills. We will also signpost towards key resources, exciting external events and application opportunities through monthly newsletters. As our ethos revolves around diversity, we welcome ALL to join our activities.
