We are offering an exciting opportunity for an ECVDI or ACVR board-certified or residency trained clinician to join Lumbry Park Veterinary Specialists. You'll become part of our Specialist-led multi-disciplinary clinical team, which includes highly motivated residents, specialty and general interns, highly skilled nurses, and incredible support teams.

The radiology team currently employs two full-time ECVDI Specialists (this role is to replace one of these positions), three residents, a diagnostic imaging intern, three radiographers and one diagnostic imaging technician. The advertised position can be tailored to either full-time (four days per week) or part-time.

We are in the process of installing a Siemens Magnetom Flow 1.5 T MRI to replace our existing MRI scanner, the first of its kind in both human and veterinary healthcare in the UK. We also have a state-of-the-art CT scanner, digital radiography, and high-end ultrasound units. We collaborate extensively with other services within the hospital to optimize patient care.

You will provide oncology care, manage cases in collaboration with a team, and conduct clinic and telemedicine duties while supporting a busy cancer treatment service.

Due to expansion of our busy oncology service we are now seeking an additional medical oncologist to join our cancer treatment service.
 
Our brand new hospital opened in October 2023 and has an Elekta 6MV linear accelerator (capable of IMRT and stereotactic treatments), dedicated oncology procedure and treatment rooms, an interventional radiology suite, and a nurse-led chemotherapy clinic.
 
Our current medical oncology team consists of two medical oncology specialists, 2 ECVIM-CA residents, 1 intern and 2 oncology RVNs (soon to be 3!). We have excellent surgical support from soft tissue and maxillofacial specialists, and radiation planning is done by a remote board-certified specialist, with dedicated therapeutic radiographers performing the radiation treatments.
 
We are based at the junctions of the M4 and M5 motorways in Avonmouth (North of Bristol, with excellent travel links to Wales, the Southwest, Central and Southern England). This is a beautiful and affordable area of the country in which to work, catering for city-lovers and country-lovers alike.
