Responsibilities

  • Due to expansion of our busy oncology service we are now seeking an additional medical oncologist to join our cancer treatment service.
  • Our brand new hospital opened in October 2023 and has an Elekta 6MV linear accelerator (capable of IMRT and stereotactic treatments), dedicated oncology procedure and treatment rooms, an interventional radiology suite, and a nurse-led chemotherapy clinic.
  • Our current medical oncology team consists of two medical oncology specialists, 2 ECVIM-CA residents, 1 intern and 2 oncology RVNs (soon to be 3!).
  • We have excellent surgical support from soft tissue and maxillofacial specialists, and radiation planning is done by a remote board-certified specialist, with dedicated therapeutic radiographers performing the radiation treatments.
  • We are based at the junctions of the M4 and M5 motorways in Avonmouth (North of Bristol, with excellent travel links to Wales, the Southwest, Central and Southern England).
  • This is a beautiful and affordable area of the country in which to work, catering for city-lovers and country-lovers alike.
