 DUTIES

 <li>Translates strategy into objectives. Establishes and oversees the execution of short-term team goals and objectives in support of functional long-term strategies.</li>
 <li>Monitors and reports regularly on metrics, relevant statistics, and activity reports to help continuously monitor and improve HR practices.</li>
 <li>Researches and develops policies, procedures, and processes to ensure smooth operations that are supportive of Global Refuge staff and applicants.</li>
 <li>Ensures compliance with Global Refuge policies and procedures and with federal, state, local, and international laws.</li>
 <li>Manages and provides appropriate oversight and support to HR staff members.</li>
 <li>Conducts investigations of complex employee relations issues escalating issues for appropriate attention and resolution.</li>
 <li>Coordinates and conducts staff training related to policies, processes, and systems.</li>
 <li>Represents HR at leadership meetings.</li>

 </ul>
 QUALIFICATIONS
 <ul>
 <li>Undergraduate degree in Human Resources, Psychology, or related field and 10-15 years of progressive human resources experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.</li>
 <li>5 or more years of experience leading an HR department or unit or managing an HR team.</li>
 <li>Extensive knowledge of Human Resources including experience with complex organizations operating across multiple states.</li>
 <li>Strong generalist knowledge of employee relations, talent acquisition, benefits, compensation, and expertise in at least one of the following areas preferred: compensation, international Human Resources, or federal government contracting.</li>
 <li>Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and HR systems including HRIS, performance management systems, LMS, and ATS.</li>
 <li>Attention to detail and follow-through required.</li>
 <li>Proven track record of achieving results through others.</li>
 <li>Working knowledge of federal and state employment laws.</li>
 <li>Excellent analytic, oral, and written communication skills, as well as the capacity to handle confidential information with discretion and sensitivity.</li>
