Responsibilities

  • Translates strategy into objectives. Establishes and oversees the execution of short-term team goals and objectives in support of functional long-term strategies.
  • Monitors and reports regularly on metrics, relevant statistics, and activity reports to help continuously monitor and improve HR practices.
  • Researches and develops policies, procedures, and processes to ensure smooth operations that are supportive of Global Refuge staff and applicants.
  • Ensures compliance with Global Refuge policies and procedures and with federal, state, local, and international laws.
  • Manages and provides appropriate oversight and support to HR staff members.
  • Conducts investigations of complex employee relations issues escalating issues for appropriate attention and resolution.
  • Coordinates and conducts staff training related to policies, processes, and systems.
  • Represents HR at leadership meetings.
