Professional / Public Education/Outreach and Research:&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt; Manages the Trauma Outreach Coordinator(s)&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt; Supports the Trauma Outreach Coordinators efforts related to professional and community education and injury prevention programs&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt; Participates in the Trauma Nurse Core Curriculum Coarse (TNCC) program sponsored by the hospital/System&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt; Participates in the Advanced Trauma Life Support program sponsored by the hospital/System&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt; Participates in the Advanced Trauma Care for Nurses program sponsored by the hospital/System&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt; Participates in other professional education courses in trauma and critical care that may be conducted or sponsored by the hospital/System&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt; Participates in regional trauma education and outreach efforts&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt; (Level I and II) Participates in Trauma Program Research projects and works with nursing staff to oversee and develop nursing based trauma research project if indicated.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Required Minimum Education&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;ul&gt;&lt;li&gt;Bachelor's Degree Graduate with Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an approved school of professional nursing is preferred&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Master's Degree Master of Science in Nursing with a clinical concentration in trauma, emergency or relevant field is preferred&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Required Minimum License(s) And Certification(s)&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;em&gt;All certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;/em&gt;&lt;ul&gt;&lt;li&gt;Reg Nurse (Single State) or RN - Multi-state Compact&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Basic Life Support or BLS - Instructor&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Advanced Cardiac Life Support/ ACLS - Provisional/ ACLS - Instructor is preferred&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Trauma Nurse Core Course is preferred&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Adv Trauma Care for Nurses Certification is preferred&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Trauma Certification, RN is preferred&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Required Minimum Experience&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;ul&gt;&lt;li&gt;Minimum of three to five years of clinical nursing in emergency, critical care and trauma care&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Maintains 48 trauma related continuing education hours every 3 years (averaged 16 per year) per the ACS standard.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Minimum of three to five years progressive management/supervisory experience is preferred&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Previous experience as Trauma Program Manager, performance improvement or as a member of a Trauma program is preferred.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Previous experience in verified an ACS verified Trauma Center or state designated trauma program is preferred&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Required Minimum Skills&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;ul&gt;&lt;li&gt;Interpersonal skills necessary to interact productively with both internal and external personnel at all levels of the organization, patients, families, physicians and staff, to promote the optimal care of patients and the optimal functioning of the trauma program.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;
