What is the duration of the Apprentice Radiographer position?
The apprenticeship is a 3-year fixed-term training post.
Where will the Apprentice Radiographer work?
The post holder will work at the University Hospital of North Midlands NHS Trust, including the Royal Stoke University Hospital and County Hospital, as well as peripheral sites.
What qualification will I receive upon completing the apprenticeship?
Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, you will gain a BSc (Hons) in Diagnostic Radiography and Imaging.
Will I be eligible for registration after completing the apprenticeship?
Yes, upon completion, you will be eligible to apply for registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a Diagnostic Radiographer.
What type of training will I receive?
You will receive extensive workplace learning and practice in Imaging, supported by academic learning at Keele University.
Are there any formal application requirements for the Keele University course?
Yes, applicants must prepare a current CV and a personal statement explaining their suitability for this apprentice opportunity, following a successful interview appointment.
What is the focus of the role during the apprenticeship?
The post holder will support the flow of patient pathways, liaise with the multidisciplinary team, and assist Imaging Department Assistants while learning to become a Radiographer.
