What is the purpose of the Discovery Diversity Programme?
The Discovery Diversity Programme is designed for students from underrepresented groups to be assessed for and apply to join Summer Internships in 2026 before the general application process begins, while also providing insights into a career at Barclays.
When do the programme dates occur?
The programme dates are April 9th – 10th, 2025.
Is the programme held in-person or online?
The programme is an in-person experience.
What activities will be included in the programme?
Participants will join seminars and workshops, specific breakout sessions for their business area, networking sessions with senior leaders and graduates, and they can be assessed for the 2026 summer internship on the second day of the programme.
Who is eligible to apply for the programme?
You must be 2 years out from graduation and can be studying any degree discipline. The programme encourages students from all backgrounds, particularly those who identify with the 6 Intersectional DE&I agendas.
Will there be any assessments during the programme?
Yes, on the second day of the programme, participants can be assessed for the 2026 summer internship through a series of assessments.
Does Barclays provide sponsorship for attending the programme?
No, Barclays does not provide sponsorship to attend the 2-day insight programme.
Can candidates apply if they require visa sponsorship for the summer internship?
Yes, Barclays will accept applications from candidates who require visa sponsorship to work in the UK for the duration of the 2026 Summer Internship Programme.
