  • Knowledge of:
  • Principles and practices of mechanical engineering, guidelines, and techniques.
  • Fundamental principles of operation and maintenance of large pools of vehicles.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of personal computer programs including AutoCAD, word processing, spreadsheets, database, and graphics presentation software.
  • Various fields of engineering related to vehicle systems, machine shop, prototyping, and vehicle maintenance.
  • Ability to:

  • Must have reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

  • Compile, compute, analyze, evaluate and interpret data for projects with an emphasis on mechanical engineering fleet projects and activities.
  • Maintain and update the Section’s AutoCAD data library with technical information related to the entire OCTA’s pool of buses and vehicles.
  • Assists and prepares engineering reviews of products, components, projects, building and manufacturing of prototypes, approved equals, QC and QA.
