Description
- The Communications Intern will assist the Community Engagements & Outreach Coordinator in Social Media postings, communication with the community and community referral building. The Communications Intern will identify and provide community resources to requesting clients and answer questions from the public. Travel within Tallahassee may be required depending on project needs.
Requirements
- Excellent communication and writing skills
- Organized with attention to detail
- Able to work independently and under pressure
- An interest in international issues
- Strong desire to help people and enthusiasm for working in a multi-cultural setting
- Computer literacy – preferably with PC systems
- Must pass a background check ($51.00 fee)
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must attend IRC volunteer orientation training
- Must commit to at least 15 hours a week
