What is the duration of the Corporate Reporting Internship?
The internship lasts for 10 weeks between June and August.
What is the application deadline for the internship?
The deadline to apply is Sunday, Oct. 20, 2024, at midnight Eastern time.
Who is eligible to apply for this internship?
The internship is primarily for college juniors, but seniors and graduate students enrolled in a degree program by the application deadline are also eligible to apply.
What materials do I need to submit with my application?
You need to upload one PDF document containing a cover letter, your résumé, and three examples of your published work. Full articles should be included, not hyperlinks.
What skills or experience are preferred for this internship?
The ideal candidate should have strong writing and reporting skills, exhibit a dedication to high journalism standards, and have experience or interest in data analysis. A prior reporting internship or exceptional work published with a campus news outlet or as a freelancer is also required.
When will I hear back after applying?
Only finalists will be contacted. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis, with selections anticipated to be made by the end of January.
What topics will the intern cover?
The intern will cover breaking entertainment-industry news, celebrity and Hollywood-related legal proceedings, and occasionally earnings, with an emphasis on generating ambitious features about the television, film, and music industry.
Is there a pay associated with the internship?
Yes, the pay range for the internship is $28.57 per hour.
