Responsibilities

  • Co-op will be responsible to interact with all aspects of the plant maintenance and engineering function and to assist in identifying possible mechanical issues. The goal for this co-op is to grow the incumbent’s knowledge of Engineering / Maintenance and expand their knowledge in Manufacturing.
  • Assist the Maintenance team & the Plant Engineers to improve process capabilities and reduce waste & injuries by modifying existing mechanical equipment.
  • Search databases for the most cost-effective parts and supplies for the Maintenance and Engineering departments.
  • Work with manufacturing associates to resolve mechanical issues and mechanical drawing issues.
  • Work with Maintenance team on CMMS system to ensure tasks are written correctly.
  • Gather data, develop and configure CAD layouts.
  • Generate PowerPoint presentation slides for design reviews.
