What is the duration of the internship?
The internship is a 6-month fixed-term contract from February 2025 to July 2025.
What are the required qualifications for applicants?
Applicants should have completed an internship or be working in ambulatory practice, with the ability to perform anaesthesia. They should also be eligible for registration with the RCVS.
Is there an opportunity for research or publication during the internship?
Yes, there is an opportunity for the successful individual to write and publish a critically appraised topic (CAT) or case report if this is of interest.
What is the salary for this position?
The salary for this role is £28,754, with accommodation fully provided and paid for.
Where is accommodation provided?
Accommodation is provided on-site for out-of-hours work and off-site but close to the hospital for the remainder of the time.
What kind of rotation can be expected in the internship?
The intern will rotate with four other interns through various services in the hospital, including internal medicine/inpatients, surgery/general anaesthesia, diagnostic orthopaedics and imaging, outpatients, and nights.
Will there be night shifts involved in this internship?
Yes, the individual will work one night shift in every five weeks as part of the night rotation.
