Responsibilities

  • - Expand your knowledge in equine veterinary practices
  • - Join a progressive, friendly and experienced team
  • - Engage in hospital-based work and in-patient management
  • - Participate in ambulatory work if desired
  • - Be part of the veterinary team at racecourse and international eventing competitions
  • - Provide a 24/7 emergency referral service
  • - Manage a varied caseload from pleasure horses to top-level racehorses
  • - Work under the guidance of RCVS-recognised specialists in surgery and medicine
  • - Collaborate with a supportive nursing team
  • - Participate in medicine, surgery, lameness evaluations, anaesthesia, and reproduction
  • - Focus on areas of particular interest to individual interns
  • - Gain exposure to a broad-ranging equine caseload
  • - Enhance skills suitable for progression into further training posts or general equine practice
