Responsibilities

  • Apply business acumen and adherence to AARP’s procurement policies while establishing new vendors, drafting contractual agreements, including Statements of Work (SOWs), Sponsorship Agreements, Speaker Agreements, etc., and preparing purchase requests for procurement
  • Ensuring timely and accurate payments by preparing check requests, wire transfers, and invoice submissions to accounts payable
  • Apply financial discipline and adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) while assisting with the monthly close process, which involves reviewing results, preparing journal entries, and reclassing entries to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
  • Assist in the quarterly forecast and annual budgeting process
  • Facilitate execution of Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with startups engaging in ATC’s Accelerator program
  • Ensure compliance with AARP’s Records Management Information Policies as it pertains to contracts and investment
  • Support the team on any other projects as they arise
