Responsibilities

  • Review and validate or invalidate Tax Record Cards for all States, Districts, and Territories utilizing the TRC System based on customer type, state sales tax laws, and certificate provided utilizing the rules for all states as issued by our Sales Tax Department, or the rules as issued by the Manager of Sales Tax Compliance
  • Maintain a working understanding of sales tax laws for States, District, and Territories utilizing the TRC System as issued by the Sales Tax Department or by the Manager of Sales Tax Compliance
  • Research customer’s business activity via websites to correctly evaluate exemption claims
  • Research state websites to correctly evaluate exemption claims
  • Manually index incoming exemption certificates as required
