  • Accounting : Knowledge of general accounting principles and current organizational policies and procedures. This includes knowledge of general accounting and financial reporting, cost accounting, auditing, budget and forecasting, payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
  • Financial Reporting : Knowledge of accounting principles generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and local financial and accounting regulations This includes the ability to recognize when compliance issues occur.
  • Internal Controls: Knowledge of internal control processes. This includes the ability to ensure controls exist to monitor that transactions are recorded, and proper checks and balances are in place, to identify areas where controls are not functioning, and to make recommendations to improve controls over the process.
  • Detail Oriented: The ability to attend to and verify the accuracy and completeness of detailed information in documents, on the computer, and/or in other work products. This includes being able to code, file, compile, transcribe, classify, and/or track details from a variety of different sources/problems/issues.
  • Strong Oral and Written communication
  • Required/minimum qualifications: CA Intermediate completion; Minimum 12 months of articleship period remaining to be completed
  • Additional or preferred qualifications : Proficiency in MS Office suite

Responsibilities
