What is the duration of the Healthcare Science Assistant Apprentice training program?

Yes, formal training will be provided to help you learn and develop the necessary skills and knowledge.
What kind of tasks will I be performing as an apprentice?
You will perform tasks such as routine and urgent electrocardiograms, spirometry, blood pressure measurements, venous blood sampling, and setting up cardiac monitors, among others.
Where will the study take place for this apprenticeship?
Study will take place in partnership with Sheffield College, which includes both virtual and in-person attendance.
Is this a full-time position?
Yes, this is a full-time position, and there will be an expectation of self-directed study.
What happens after I complete the apprenticeship?
Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship and probationary period, you will be offered a permanent position as a Cardio-Respiratory Healthcare Science Assistant (Band 2).
