What is the main purpose of the Intern Technician position at Ziegler?
The Intern Technician position is designed to provide students with hands-on experience diagnosing and repairing a variety of equipment while learning from experienced senior technicians in the industry.
What are the responsibilities of an Intern Technician?
As an Intern Technician, you will assist in troubleshooting and repairing heavy diesel engines and construction or agriculture equipment in a shop environment, while learning to respond to customer needs in a positive and timely manner.
What qualifications do I need to apply for this intern position?
Candidates must be currently enrolled in a 2-year degree program in diesel engine mechanics, construction and/or agricultural equipment mechanics or a related study, maintain good grades, receive positive recommendations from instructors, have a positive attitude, own a mechanic tool set, and be able to maintain a safe and clean work environment.
Is there a physical requirement for this position?
Yes, the position has minimum physical requirements including the ability to push/pull up to 50 lbs, lift/carry up to 60 lbs, and perform various physical activities such as standing, climbing, bending, and reaching.
Will I need to take a drug test before employment?
