Requirements

Actively pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety, environmental health and safety, industrial management, or other related discipline from an accredited institution
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without Company sponsorship
Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher
This position requires the use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
Relocation is not provided for this role, the candidate must be located within 50 miles of Torrance, CA.

Responsibilities

Facilitate workstation risk assessments to identify critical EHS hazards and aspects.
Facilitate engagement of site MESH Team in ownership of the MESH elements.
Works with the MESH element champions to complete an annual evaluation and Enhesa Scorecard of compliance with EHS country, state, and local regulations.
Manage the site's compliance and action tracking tool, Benchmark.
Perform routine inspections to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company EH&S procedures, including fire extinguisher inspections, emergency eyewash/safety shower inspections, and tests and inspections of hazardous materials accumulation areas.
Assist in developing EH&S training and manage training matrices as needed in Eaton University.
Maintain recordkeeping and compliance requirements established for permitted sources defined by the local SCAQMD (i.e., paint booth and selective solder)
Responsible for hazardous and non-hazardous waste management (i.e., department satellite accumulation area, labeling, storing requirements)
