Responsibilities

  • Join us in a fun, friendly, team-oriented virtual (work from home) environment, working closely with a coach/mentor
  • Monitor and manage team’s ServiceNow queues to mitigate impacts for critical incidents and prioritize requests to improve customer service and ensure completion of tasks within service level agreements.
  • Document use cases, user stories and Jira tickets.
  • Conceptualize and create procedures, subsequently implementing them with proficiency and achieving successful outcomes to ensure the seamless operation of team workflows.
  • Collaborate with the business partners, developers, and quality analysts to design, document and implement custom technical solutions.
  • Document workflows, design processes and create templates, checklists, job-aids, and playbooks to improve the efficiency of the organization.
  • Perform regular internal and ad hoc audits to mitigate risks and ensure team’s compliance with internal risk controls.
  • Take initiative, demonstrate leadership skills, and pay attention to detail.
  • Work as part of a team, plan, and organize work.
  • Work on a variety of application systems that are used by the Individual Customer organization within Canada Life; assist with software maintenance and make small enhancements to existing applications (design, development, testing and implementation of application changes)
  • Conduct functional application testing of our end user applications to ensure compatibility with planned OS and MS Office upgrades.
  • Learn how we use collaboration tools - work with our team to design and develop collaboration solutions to be used by I & W team.
  • Contribute learning from education experience to practical process improvement opportunities.
