Responsibilities

  • Under the guidance of experienced engineers and designers, junior designers will participate in the design aspects of custom equipment and new product development. Candidates will be required to directly apply and develop knowledge in mechanical design which may include:
  • Modelling and Drafting with Solid Modelling tools such as Solid Edge and MicroStation;
  • Production of high-quality mechanical assembly and detail drawings;
  • Co-ordinate designs with a multi-disciplinary team including structural, mechanical, electrical, process, and instrumentation and controls;
  • Participate in design reviews, and quality checking workflows;
  • Contribute to the design and improvement of various types of mechanical equipment and technologies;
  • Assist in developing prototypes;
  • Become familiar in reviewing fabrication and construction drawings, including international engineering standards;
  • Improve their technical communication and report writing skills.
