What is the eligibility criteria for the Life & Work Reporting Internship?
The internship is primarily for college juniors, but seniors and graduate students enrolled in a degree program by the application deadline are also eligible to apply.
How long is the internship program?
The internship lasts for 10 weeks, typically between June and August.
What are the main responsibilities of an intern in this role?
Interns will work closely with reporters and editors to deliver news stories and features, generate and pitch story ideas, and produce engaging work in areas such as Personal Finance, Workplace, Education, Travel, Personal Tech, or Consumer Health.
Is prior business or finance reporting experience required?
No, prior business or finance reporting experience is not required, although a demonstrated interest in business reporting is a plus.
What materials are required to apply for the internship?
Applicants must upload one PDF document containing a cover letter, an answer to a specific prompt, a résumé, and three examples of published work.
When is the application deadline?
