Responsibilities

  • Makes recommendations to ensure a creative and proactive recruiting strategy. Works closely with all levels of management to understand position requirements and staffing needs to target recruitment efforts.
  • Networks with professional and virtual groups to source new candidates or referrals. Makes recommendations on appropriate alternatives to meet individual recruitment goals.
  • Formulates screening criteria and compares resumes and candidates against management requirements. Conducts phone interviews within legal parameters using Komen approved techniques and guidelines. Determines relativity of candidate skills and experience, rejects or selects candidates, and refers top talent to hiring managers.
  • Promotes equal employment opportunity and diversity recruitment efforts by analyzing results of outreach efforts and targets recruitment campaigns based upon those results.
  • Scheduling of candidate interviews. Oversees and interprets candidate testing if needed. Formulates content for questioning and conducts employment references investigations to determine viability of candidates.
  • Enforces appropriate status updates and notes for all candidates being considered within the Human Capital Management tool for Komen in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Updates various recruiting status reports and recruitment files.
  • May participate in special projects/recruiting initiatives, including assessment of best practices in interviewing techniques, leveraging of internal sources of talent, and identifying new recruitment resources.
  • Possess strong ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams across the organization.
  • Ability to communicate all of Komen’s compensation elements, benefits, and equity to candidates.
  • Ability to work independently with excellent time management, prioritization and judgment skills with a positive attitude, high energy, and focused attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing to include business correspondence and internet communications.
