Requirements

  • Experience leveraging one or more tools in the Business Intelligence space (e.g., Tableau, SAP Business Objects Webi, Web FOCUS, QlikView, Microsoft BI, Microstrategy, Cognos, Alteryx, Paxata, Trifacta, Informatica, Talend, Ascential) or with data analysis/reporting.

Responsibilities

  • The primary responsibilities of this role are to:
  • Develops and implements accurate, consistent and secure data sets supporting key Business Intelligence Team internal metrics;
  • Leverages baseline understanding of defined Business Intelligence Team’s internal metrics to manage tracking mechanisms;
  • Develops and maintains the necessary data and documentation to understand the data elements, respective sources, expected range of answers;
  • Works with BI Team members to maintain a data repository, regular reporting and ad-hoc reporting for Business Intelligence Team internal metrics Analyzes data for opportunities and coordinates data quality problem solving efforts;
  • Monitors existing, regular, data validity mechanisms to detect data quality gaps;
  • Leverages and coordinates expertise of system and database subject matter experts to solve data quality deficiencies;
  • Understands and leverages common definitions of cross functional and cross brand metrics and calculations;
  • Collaboratively builds business and data knowledge and solutions;
  • Works with IT Data Stewards and Data Support Teams to understand business rules behind available data to enable proper interpretation for metrics and problem-solving facilitation;
  • Uses business acumen and functional stakeholder input to understand data needed for process enablement, to locate the needed data, and to translate to the right measures at the right granularity to answer the question being asked with appropriate presentation;
  • Works both independently and collaboratively with a team of peers to fully satisfy stakeholder and team data needs Creates and Delivers Change Management Plans;
  • Builds strong working relationships with Supply Chain Management and Commercial data consumers to understand the link between data requests and business process decisions;
  • Understands and leverages basic change management concepts and processes to develop change management plans designed to shorten acceptance and learning curves for new and changing business intelligence solutions;
  • Uses interpersonal skills to deliver the planned communications and training to the target audiences for new and changed business intelligence solutions.
