What is the duration of the apprenticeship program?
The apprenticeship program lasts for 36 months, with an additional approximately 3 months to complete the end point assessment.
What qualification will I earn upon completing the apprenticeship?
You will earn a BSc in Public Health (Hons) and will be eligible to apply to and join the UK Public Health Register (UKPHR).
How much time will I spend in university versus on the job?
A proportion of your week will be spent in university, while the rest will be dedicated to various public health tasks and projects in the workplace.
Will there be opportunities to gain practical experience during the apprenticeship?
Yes, apprentices will have exposure to work experiences that meet the anticipated Knowledge, Skills, and Behaviours required for the Public Health Practitioner program.
What types of tasks will I be responsible for as a Population Health Coordinator Apprentice?
You will coordinate the delivery of public health improvement activities, work in partnership to improve health outcomes, support the planning, delivery, and evaluation of public health initiatives, and work in specified areas of public health.
